The three months leading up to our winter semester concert was intense and epic. But our hard work all paid off! After an amazing and super fun concert, we're back to post some good ol' pops love via photos before, during and after the concert.

A BIG thank you!

Thank you all for coming to see us! It was an AMAZING concert!
We will miss our fantastic conductors Matt Dell and Anthony Do-Hoon Kim, in between rick rollin' people, Lord Carney's excellent dance moves, Officer HaNul's hilarious videos, world premiering INCEPTION!, Star Wars ("It's FUNKY time!"), Darth Vader, pops love, and oh, did we mention? Pops love?

Amazing, amazing evening! Thank you all again for coming and SEE YOU ALL FALL 2012!

Michigan Pops Orchestra to present pep and 'Peril' in upcoming performance

After the triumphant reception of its fall concert “Once Upon A Time,” Michigan Pops Orchestra has aimed to make its spring concert the most exciting and ambitious performance since Pops came to the ‘U’ more than fifteen years ago. The completely student-run orchestra will present “Pops in Peril,” a concert hoping to bring a vibrant and expansive repertoire to stage with skill, energy and a little bit of their signature “Pops Love.”

THE MICHIGAN POPS ORCHESTRA PRESENTS “POPS IN PERIL!,” ON SUNDAY,  MARCH 25, 2012 AT 7:00 P.M.

(Ann Arbor) - Led by Music Directors Anthony Do-Hoon Kim and Matthew B. Dell, the Michigan Pops Orchestra presents: Pops In Peril on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Michigan Theater. The University's only student-run, student-directed orchestra will perform an epic concert program
with perilous music reminiscent of dreams and nightmares. The program will bring to life the music of Star Wars, Bernstein’s On the Town, Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony: Movement 4, and more. Pops is also proud to announce its world premiere of music from the hit-film Inception. So do not miss out on this peril-filled musical journey through some of the most epic pieces!  
The Michigan Pops Orchestra again promises an engaging performance, using unique themes and programming to combine the contemporary and the classical. Pops appeals to the music lover in everyone, with its extensive repertoire including classical, rock, jazz, Broadway hits, and popular film scores. Working with the University Activities Center, the Michigan Pops Orchestra continues to promote diversity in both club participation and song selection. The 100-member ensemble will again demonstrate commitment and passion to community musical collaboration in this winter concert.
Combining vocal performances, multimedia, antics, and special effects, Pops in Peril promises to be a spectacular show.
